Overview
As a Parttime Radiologist at our medical facility you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of patient care and outcomes making your role integral to our team.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging tests and procedures.
- Evaluate and diagnose medical conditions based on imaging results.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all imaging reports.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and imaging findings.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure quality and safety.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology and imaging technologies.
- Assist in training and supervising staff including technologists and students.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and best practices in radiology.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and results.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives in radiology.
- Provide expertise in interventional radiology procedures when required.
- Support continuous learning and professional development within the department.
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in radiology from an accredited institution.
- State medical license to practice as a radiologist.
- Proven experience working as a radiologist preferably in a clinical setting.
- Expertise in various imaging modalities including Xray MRI CT and ultrasound.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Commitment to ongoing education and staying abreast of industry developments.
- Understanding of radiation safety protocols and best practices.
- Capability to adapt to new technologies and software for imaging and reporting.
