Disability Support Worker

Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist participants with personal hygiene grooming and daily living activities ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Manual Hoist Operation: Safely operate manual hoists to assist participants with mobility and transfers.
- Complex Care: Provide specialized care including complex bowel care and catheter management.
- Flexible Shifts: Be available to work day and afternoon shifts as well as nonactive sleepovers to meet the varied needs of our participants.
- Effective Communication: Establish professional relationships through clear and effective communication with participants their families and coworkers.
- Specialized Experience: Provide support to participants with spinal injuries or quadriplegia applying your expertise to enhance their quality of life.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in personal care and manual hoist operations.
- Proficiency in complex bowel care and catheter management.
- Availability for day afternoon and nonactive sleepover shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships with participants their families and coworkers.
- Experience working with individuals with spinal injuries or quadriplegics is highly desirable.
