Job Description

Forecasting Analyst

As a Forecasting Analyst (Energy Expert) in our clients Applications Team youll be at the heart of their mission to redefine energy retail solutions. By forecasting things better they can enable end users to maximize the potential of intermittent renewable energy. Your role is pivotal in shaping the future of energy retailer forecasting models ensuring our products meet and exceed the energy sectors evolving needs.


Day in the life with our client:

Imagine starting your day diving into the latest energy market trends extracting key insights to enhance our clients forecasting models. Collaborate with algorithm engineers in a vibrant interactive session brainstorming and refining ideas. Postlunch youre deep in testing some of the new features the engineers have delivered. As the day winds down you document your findings contributing to our knowledge base and youll end the day with a stimulating conversation with a fellow expert exchanging ideas that could spark our next significant innovation.



Requirements


  • Bachelor s or Master s in Data Science Statistics Mathematics Economics or a related field.
  • Experience in data analysis statistical modeling and forecasting experience is considered an asset
  • European energy & utility market knowledge and expertise preferably experience in a retail energy setting.
  • Nice to have some experience in data processing and analysis tools (e.g. SQL Python R).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A critical thinker with a passion for data and analytics.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in dynamic environments.
  • A detailoriented individual with a knack for problemsolving.
  • Eager to be part of a team shaping the energy sectors future.
  • You are a people person just as much as a subject matter expert
  • Keen to travel extensively across the EMEA region
