Cobol Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop test and implement COBOL programs on the IBM AS/400 platform.
• Analyze and modify ERP software to improve performance and add functionality in response to business requirements.
• Provide support and maintenance for existing applications resolving issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with analysts designers and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
• Ensure documentation is kept uptodate and complies with company standards.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of major software upgrades and migrations.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of business workflow and processes.
• Provide training and support to end users.
• Adhere to best practices in security and data protection.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in COBOL programming on IBM AS/400 platforms.
• Strong experience in ERP systems analysis and modifications.
• Proficient in SQL and DB2 database management.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
