Payroll Consultant/Supervisor
This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation adherence to legislative requirements and maintaining payroll records. The Payroll Supervisor will provide guidance and collaborate with various departments to streamline payroll operations effectively.
- General Payroll system maintenance.
- Creating Company Rules Earning Deduction and Company Contribution Definitions.
- Maintain and create payroll system formulas.
- Report writing.
- New engagements terminations transfers promotions salary adjustments
- Processing of acting overtime standby and expenses
- Upload of Liberty data on the Liber 8 system for own entities
- Review Third party payment schedules.
- Assist with uploading payments in GPM’s absence.
- Employment confirmations when necessary
- Tax validations and EMP501 submission.
- Scanning in of engagements terminations and promotions of own entities
- Bank details audit verification.
- Medical overpayment recovery
- RMA and COID submissions.
- Responsible for balancing and updating the Head Count Report
- Generate increase letters after annual reviews.
- Assist Auditors with queries and backup documentation during audits.
- Income Protection Plan Recons.
- Stats SA submissions
- First Review of month end processing
Experience:
Qualifications: • Grade 12/NQF 4 • Diploma in Payroll Administration or similar with 8 years’ experience. • Certification in Sage 300 People Consulting (Payroll) • Certification in Sage 300 People Consulting (HR) advantageous. Job specific experience: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs specifically Sage 300 • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail • Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced) • Driver’s license. Knowledge of: • Calculating payable hours commissions bonuses tax withholdings and deductions • Managing electronic timekeeping systems or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets • Providing information and answering employee questions about payrollrelated matter Personal attributes: • Conflict management • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Good time management and organizational skills • Report writing for business results • Analytical and Communication Skills • Passion for new technologies and solutions • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
