Shift Timings: 18:45 07:15 Hours Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hours shift

Per Week: 36 Hours

Unit Capacity: 24 Beds one lead lined room suitable for radiation isolation Population Served: Patients with the following diagnosis: Solid tumors (most frequently lung breast colon)/Leukemia Lymphomas Myeloma/Gynecologic malignancies (primarily ovarian and cervical)/Cancer symptom management/Febrile Neutropenia/Uncontrolled pain/Sickle Cell Anemia/Hematologic diseases/Post operative Mastectomy/Post operative Gynecological Oncology/Med/Surg overflow Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 60) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification OCN certification is strongly encouraged

Roles and amp; Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for wellcoordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
