About The Role
As Payroll Officer you are responsible for managing and maintaining accurate attendance records processing payroll and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves close coordination with site supervisors and timekeepers to ensure timely and precise payroll execution and collaboration with HR and finance departments to manage employee compensation and benefits. The Payroll Officer will also handle employee registration and documentation ensuring all payroll deductions and reconciliation are accurately processed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain daily attendance sheets for all work sites.
  • Verify and update time sheet details including photos professions dates of joining and leaving daily wages and other pertinent information.
  • Calculate salaries wages overtime bonuses and deductions.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Respond to payrollrelated inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform weekly reconciliation between daily attendance reports and time sheets submitted by timekeepers.
  • Conduct monthly SNIT reconciliation and update the registry files with new inclusions and exclusions of employee names.
  • Follow up on site requirements and ensure all registration documentation for employees is complete and accurate.
  • Regularize and document all deductions applied to time sheets.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll benefits and other HR programs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review payroll procedures and develop improvements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor s degree in a relevant field is required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply as we value fresh perspectives and academic knowledge.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in French will be plus.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial for accurately recording and maintaining attendance and payroll records.
  • Excellent organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks including weekly and monthly reconciliation and maintaining updated employee records.
  • Effective communication skills are required to coordinate with site supervisors timekeepers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and basic computer applications is beneficial for efficiently handling payroll tasks.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to payroll and employee registration to ensure all processes are compliant.
  • Ability to address and resolve discrepancies in time sheets and attendance records promptly.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and tax laws.
