As an nVent Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining data pipelines and platforms that enable datadriven decision making and insights across the organization. You will work with a variety of data sources technologies emerging tools and frameworks. You will collaborate with Business Stakeholders Analytics Engineers Data Engineers and Data Architects to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable reliable and secure data pipelines and platforms using cloudbased technologies and best practices.
Integrate and transform data from various sources such as SAP SQL Server S3 and APIs.
Optimize and monitor the performance quality and availability of data pipelines and platforms ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Support data analysis and reporting by creating and maintaining data models schemas views and dashboards using tools to design develop automate and support complex applications to extract transform and load data.
Collaborate with data engineers data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Document and communicate data engineering processes standards and best practices to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing across the team and the organization.
Research and evaluate new data technologies and trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Experience:
5 years experience as a Sr. Data Engineer
Experience developing endtoend technical solutions and sustaining solutions in production ensuring performance security scalability and robust data integration
MUST HAVE hands on experience with SAP BW and Snowflake
MUST be local MN and work in nVent St Louis Park office at least 34 days per week
Experience in cloud data platforms Snowflake or AWS
Designed and implemented CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
Demonstrated experience working within Agile methodologies
Ability to write debug and optimize SQL queries
Userfacing written and verbal communication skills and experience
Strong business acumen experience engaging with finance stakeholders
Automated data transformation and data curation using tools such as dbt or Informatica
Previous programming expertise in Java Python or Scala
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex data to nontechnical audiences.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and challenges translating them into clear concise and technically feasible data analysis requests.
