Insurance Verifications Specialist - Virtual Assistant

Virtual Rockstar is looking for a skilled Insurance Verification Specialist to join our clients Physical Therapy team as a Virtual Assistant. As an Insurance Verification Specialist you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient care by confirming patient appointments verifying insurance coverage obtaining preauthorizations for procedures and assisting patients with insurancerelated inquiries. This is a remote position that requires strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to effectively navigate insurance processes.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient appointments and handle appointment rescheduling as needed.
  

• Verify patient insurance coverage prior to appointments or procedures.
  

• Obtain preauthorizations for procedures from insurance providers.
  

• Update patient files with accurate insurance information.
  

• Explain insurance benefits to patients and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  

• Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and resolve any discrepancies.
  

• Track the status of pending insurance claims and follow up as necessary.
  

• Assist patients with insurancerelated queries and provide guidance on navigating insurance processes.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in insurance verification or a similar role.
  
• Familiarity with insurance terminology policies and procedures.
  
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Proficiency in using computer software and electronic medical records systems.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
