Physician - Anesthesia Support Services

As a Physician Anesthesia Support Services you will play a vital role in delivering topnotch medical services within the Veterans Health System. • Provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiology Physician Services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs.

• Responsible for providing anesthesia preop operative and postop care.

• Responsible for appropriately documenting all care per Providence VAHCS policy.

• Responsible for reporting to the facility within 30 minutes when oncall for airway emergencies.

• Provide project support to assist implementing staffing needs within the Providence VAHCS.

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice medicine in any State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia

• Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.

• Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU) Requirements: Contractor shall provide the COR copies of current CMEs as required or requested by the VA facility.

• National Provider Identifier (NPI): NPI is a standard unique 10digit numeric identifier required by HIPAA.

• DEA: Contractor shall provide copy of current DEA certificate.

Shift Available:

• 5 Shifts Per Week 40 Scheduled Hours 7:00am5:30pm

• Oncall contracted physician must be available for emergency airway management and emergent OR cases.

• Oncall contracted physician must be available within 15 minutes by phone and onsite within 30 minutes.
