PRIMARY DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates competence in selecting exposurefactors positioning and consistently produces radiologic images of diagnosticquality. Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolveproblems
expediently.
Displays flexibility team spirit compassionrespect politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. Demonstratesawareness of and sensitivity for patient s rights in all interfaces with
patients.
AREAS OF EMPHASIS
Instructs andprepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures.
Demonstratescompetence and proficiency in operation of all equipment and reportsmalfunctions to manager or lead.
Completes allassigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to department advantageassistingothers and or assisting with room turnover
Employeeunderstands his/her role on maintaining medication security to authorized personnel only.
Demonstratescompetency in providing health care services in own job category to all age groups.
Demonstratescompetency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups.
DOCUMENTATION/INFORMATIONMANAGEMENT
Demonstratescompetency in the use of Hospital information System (HIS) Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
Participates inhospital performance improvement activities (BPI projects task forces
etc.) when warranted.
Demonstrateconfidentiality using own password and all patient care modules.
Answers telephoneinquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel
in other areas of the hospital while maintaininggood phone etiquette.
Requirements:
BLS (AmericanHeart Association ONLY)
Two (2) years experience
NYS License (orable to obtain prior to start)
Preferred:
VIR Certifiedpreferred
