Overview:
The Backend Java position is crucial to our organization as it involves developing implementing and maintaining Javabased applications that power our systems. The role encompasses designing coding and testing scalable reliable and highperformance backend components to meet the demands of our business and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features
- Ensure the best possible performance quality and responsiveness of the applications
- Design and develop highvolume lowlatency applications for missioncritical systems
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Write welldesigned efficient and testable code
- Integrate userfacing elements developed by frontend developers with serverside logic
- Implement security and data protection
- Design and implement data storage solutions
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement automated unit and integration tests
- Collaborate on troubleshooting and debugging issues
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices
- Participate in code reviews
- Document the development process architecture and standard components
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer or similar role
- Strong understanding of Java and its ecosystems
- Experience with the Spring Framework
- Proficient in database management and optimization (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle)
- Handson experience with building RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Version control using Git
- Experience with build tools such as Maven
- Ability to write clean welldesigned code
- Understanding of code versioning tools
- Experience with implementing security and data protection
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging
