Sr Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for all computer hardware and software aspects at client locations. Technical elements of this position include identifying troubleshooting preventative maintenance and resolving escalated client issues or requests. The Systems Engineer completes all associated documentation and communication in a timely manner.
What Youll Accomplish and Experience :
- Act as an extension to our clients. We must wake up on the same side of the table as them daily and do what is best for their business.
- Create supporting documentation and architectural drawings for technology solutions.
- Provide connectivity security communication and productivity solution support and design.
- Effectively design build and maintain complex networks.
- Effectively design build and maintain complex server and desktop systems to support high SLA applications.
- Effectively design build and maintain monitoring systems to monitor all system and network alerts.
- Respond communicate with clients and resolve all system application and network issues.
- Build SLA reports to communicate deliver on promise metrics to clients.
- Ability to monitor and analyze performance levels to make recommendations for capacity planning.
- Implement and maintain security to take precautions against unauthorized access and document network servers and network storage devices including hardware and software.
- Ability to research and work with vendors to develop solutions and resolve issues.
- Install configure and repair computer hardware software and networks.
- Ability to repair equipment and replace physical parts.
- Periodic daytravel in NYC area up to 30% of the time.
- Provide desktop and serverrelated support for specialized applications and administration of network services and needs including upgrading troubleshooting and other specific tasks.
- Train customers on new and existing technologies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by making their needs a primary focus.
- Respond to telephone calls emails and tickets with professionalism and courtesy within established response guidelines.
- Responsible for entering time and expenses in ClCient systems as it occurs and submitting them for approval by the designated deadline.
- Generate creative solutions and approaches to issues and organizational processes.
- Manage performance to achieve expected results.
- Exemplify and promote Client values.
- Actively demonstrate reliability by maintaining a consistent work schedule
Desirable Previous Experience :
- CCNP MCSE VCP or similar highertier technology certifications preferred.
- Strong Computer Skills and the Ability to Troubleshoot and Diagnose Problems
- Ability to communicate technical information both verbal and written to a wide range of endusers and helpdesk technicians
- Previous expereince in a managed services provider (MSP) environment required.
- Effectively communicate technical solutions to nontechnical decision makers.
- Knowledge of administration in Active Directory and Exchange
- Strong customer service skills and an ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and followthrough to ensure issues have been resolved.
