Role Description
The role holder will be responsible for providing overall L3 Database administration support for the team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Resolving User related queries in Production and Test Databases.
As per client request creating new users and assigning profiles in production databases.
User management and maintenance of all database users like granting a subset of privileges as per client s policy.
Logical backup using ExportImport and Data Pump utility as per user request.
Database bugpatching on requirement
Creating Sql tuning sets and sql tuning advisory reports using OEM 12C for Improving performance of the database.
Executing weekly analyzer on database for performance improvement.
Monthly purging activity to gain database level space improvement
Archival activity for performance improvement.
Performance monitoring Database installation and configuration
Schedule RMAN backup and monitor RMAN status of all production databases.
Interface proactively with other Infrastructure support teams such as UNIX Windows Network Storage Monitoring etc
Document issues and associated resolutions to problems
Prepare documentation and presentation of progress reports to customers
Conduct user s customer s and Team s training
Guide/Mentor the team members on technical problems which cannot be resolved at their level
Ensure that Systems Organization processes & Unit practices adhere to Organization policies
Active participation in Organization and Unit level initiatives
Qualification & Experience
B. Tech / BE / B.Sc / Diploma
7 years of relevant experience
24/ 7 Support Environment.
This role is for Banking client so working is 6 Days a week (Monthly Twice) L3
Banking industry experience (Good to have).
Delivery of quality costeffective infrastructure services in a complex & high availability environment
Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment.
Skills Required
Technical skills
Strong Knowledge in Database administration processes and concepts.
Knowledge of configuring and setting up maintenance activities for DB.
Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs
Ability to provide consultation for new projects functionalities migrations upgrades.

Ability to plan initiate and manage special tasks/projects.
Analytical skills
Good analytical troubleshooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
Process skills
Ability to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.
Strong Knowledge of ITSM processes
Other skills
Customer interface experience (managing expectations; negotiating compromise solutions).
Should have good communication and interpersonal skill.
Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment .
Experience in team handling.
