Position Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a defined commercial OPE sales territory which includes but is not limited to training and developing new Business Development Managers developing sales and marketing strategies creating sales goals and motivating a sales team.
Essential Functions:
- Work with leadership to create sales and marketing strategies to drive the commercial OPE business.
- Provide leadership guidance and professional development to territory sales managers.
- Conduct regular reviews of territory performance to ensure increased profitability.
- Forecast budget and track account revenues and costs for designated territory.
- Build customer awareness in designated sales territory.
- Assist HR with the recruitment of territory managers.
- Partner with marketing sales and product teams to develop presentations focused on corporate strategic initiatives customer partnership opportunities and line reviews.
- Manage and oversee the development and production of internal and salesfocused product launch strategy documents.
- Ensure customer needs are being met.
- Create regular sales reports for the leadership team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in a Businessrelated field.
- MBA preferred.
- 810 years of sales and/or marketing or sales leadership experience.
- Experience managing the OPE Dealer Channel
- Demonstrated skills in achieving sales profitability and budget goals.
- Ability to implement sales effectively and marketing strategies.
- Ability to monitor category performance versus plan effectively and communicate accordingly.
- Ability to understand trade spending effectiveness (efficiency of promotional activity is preferred).
- Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customers.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customers.
