Product Certification Leader Quality

The opportunity

Were currently looking for a Certification Specialist to strengthen our current team. Someone to join the Product Certification & Requirements team as part of our Quality department in order to conduct certification activities. Someone with a passion for electric mobility an interest in technology and a desire to create the change we know is needed.

This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg Sweden. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work knowing that both inperson collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time and support to do what needs to be done. And to enjoy doing it of course.

The responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for managing global certification deliveries of upcoming Polestar vehicles. Planning coordination and followup of product certification related tasks according to type approval or selfcertification framework will be your daily business. In close collaboration with the product development and program teams you will align content timing and budget for future products and ensure that the prerequisites for certification activities are met the status is reported and necessary escalation is done.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Maintain time content and budget planning.
• Host fora to align certification needs and deliveries with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create project timeplans for the certification activities.
• Represent Polestar and lead discussions with authorities and technical services globally.
• Ensure that the project plan is followed and deviations are escalated and documented.
• Drive continuous improvement and develop tools and processes for certification.

In order to succeed in this role we believe you have excellent skills when it comes to documentation planning structure and attention to detail. You are a strong communicator as well as empathic and trustworthy and you are good at creating strong relationships with different stakeholders. You are energized by working in a young company acting where you see potential and creating structure where needed.

In addition youll need the following qualifications:

• Strong project management skills with solid documented work experience from a position including similar tasks and responsibilities as explained above.
• Good knowledge of certification procedures in global markets ideally with practical experience from working with type approval or selfcertification.
• Ability to understand complex legal requirements.
• Excellent skills in communicating certification needs in a convincing way ensuring always compliant solutions.
• You can travel internationally a few times per year to support certification work where it is most sensible to carry it out.
