As the Sportsbook Trading and Risk Manager you will play a pivotal role in strategically planning and executing all aspects of risk management for our clientsSportsbook operators managed service. This position offers a unique opportunity to establish a new team implement best practices and foster a highperformance culture within a critical Sportsbook function. You will be at the forefront of shaping the risk management strategy to optimise trading margins.

The ideal candidate will already be fluent in the numerous variables that dictate Sportsbook players profitability and will look to drive the best practices towards automation processes and innovation in managing Sportsbook risk in the future. This role requires a calm and thoughtful leader with communication skills appropriate for communicating the usual trends associated with the volatility of a Sportsbook.

Responsibilities:

As Sportsbook Trading and Risk Manager your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Team Leadership and Development:

• Help recruit onboard and lead a comprehensive risk management function.
• Coach mentor and supervise the team to cultivate a highperformance culture.

Strategic Planning:

• Create the B2B Sportsbook Risk Management strategy.
• Define risk management processes and best practices to safeguard and enhance trading margins.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the Head of Trading Operations direct reports and external stakeholders.
• Prioritise trading development features related to risk management in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Innovation and Automation:

• Drive best practices in automation processes and innovation for managing Sportsbook risk.
• Collaborate with the Head of Trading Development Trading Product Manager and 3rd party service providers on continuous development.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Oversee the implementation and use of realtime bet monitors and betting story development.
• Provide analysis and reporting on individual decisionmaking ensuring datainformed choices.

Risk Management Tools and Dashboards:

• Implement and agree on a risk matrix with partners.
• Develop create and maintain a reporting suite with assistance from BI Teams.
• Implement and distribute statistical data analysis for informed decisionmaking.

Hedging and Transactions:

• Conduct and execute transactions associated with hedging when required.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of Sportsbook Trading.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex risk management concepts to diverse audiences.
• Commercial awareness with a deep understanding of variables impacting Sportsbook profitability.
• Experience working with risk management tools and high exposure to numbers.
• Familiarity with expected margin analysis and binomial distribution utilising tools for better margin control.
