As a Primary Stroke Center and Award-winning Heart Care and Chest Pain Center, our Emergency Department is equipped with 21 main beds plus 2 Trauma Bays and 2 Burn Bays (and separate fast track area) to provide exceptional 24-hour emergency care for the patients we serve. We work closely with the county s EMS and Fire Crews and have Emergency Medicine Specialists on staff. Qualifications

Education

• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.

Licensing/Certifications

• Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.
• Current ACLS & PALS/ENPC certifications preferred - required within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred - required within 6 months of hire.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training preferred required within 6 months of hire.
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification required within 6 months of new hire or certification eligibility (one year of ER experience).

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience in an ED setting preferred.
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
