The Protective Services Review Team (PSRT) is a legally mandated entity of the Department of Child Safety (DCS) that provides due process for parents, guardians and custodians who have been the subject of an investigation of child abuse or neglect. Following the completion of the due process, if the allegations of abuse/neglect are determined to be substantiated, the parent, guardian or custodian is entered on the confidential Child Abuse Central Registry. The Central Registry is used by employers when performing background checks for persons applying for jobs working with children and vulnerable adults. The position is part-time, varying between 30-40 hours a week. Mainly the position is working onsite, however it could become a combination of onsite and remote work. Utilizing a variety of computer-based systems, search for required legal documents Review and interpret language in legal documents to assure it meets statutory requirements Accurately update fields in database based on information found in legal documents Enter names and findings into the DCS Central Registry following confirmation of due process Close attention to detail to assure the documents that have been found are for the right people and right incident Create, update and maintain large master spreadsheets using Excel Be able to track multiple tasks and outstanding items for follow up until resolution is reached Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and resolve problems. Other administrative duties as assigned.
