We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nurse Assistant to join our team. The Geriatric Nurse Assistant will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to elderly patients in a variety of settings, such as nursing homes, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.
Responsibilities: - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate - Help patients with mobility and transfers, such as getting in and out of bed or using a wheelchair - Serve meals and assist patients with feeding as needed - Help patients with medication management, including administering medications and keeping accurate records - Provide emotional support and companionship to patients - Observe and report any changes in a patients condition to the nursing staff - Ensure that patients are comfortable and well-cared for at all times - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a Geriatric Nurse Assistant training program - Certification as a Geriatric Nurse Assistant - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Compassionate and patient demeanor - Ability to lift and move patients as needed - Understanding of infection control procedures and safety protocols
