Staff Accountant

CA baesd nonprofit accounting services client is seeking a direct-hire Staff Accountant to provide support in all accounting operations of the company. This is a fully remote opening with a yearly salary of up to $75,000/year, depending upon relevant experience. For further information regarding this opening, please attach your resume. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete all grant compliance reports and budget-to-actual variance reports as needed
• Accurately review bank reconciliations
• Perform month-end close processes and prepare financial statements
• Accurately enter and post journal entries
• Responsible for new client training and onboarding
• Assist in year-end audit schedule preparation
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 years of professional accounting experience - 2 years in nonprofit required
• 2+ years of experience in preparing financial statements - full-close
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills
• Grant accounting experience is required
• Experience using Abila MIP/Sage Intacct software preferred
• Experience using Excel (entry to mid-level)
• BA Degree in Accounting or Finance required
