You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Metallic Structures/SFT Technician will report to the Metallic Structures/SFT Supervisor and will be an experienced and mechanical skilled They will have the ability to use diagnostic techniques and undertake a range of detailed maintenance activities in the metallic structures bay and the supersonic fuel tank They will be responsible for maintaining airworthiness through appropriate task delegation and authorisation on Metallic Structures and SFT
The post holder requires a good understanding of the construct of the approved Technical Information set and is competent to work unaided to approved data, maintenance instructions and in accordance with the organisation s Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE). Demonstrates the ability to analyse and diagnose faults to equipment & assemblies, follow diagnostic procedures and work effectively within a team provide guidance to less experienced team members in a diverse and dynamic operational environment
Undertaking detailed maintenance and inspection activities on the metallic structures and SFT Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the Work package using the relevant approved technical information with an awareness of configuration Resolving faults and maintenance issues
Reviewing operational performance of aircraft components & Analyse and diagnose faults to components & assemblies, apply diagnostic skills & knowledge to effect repairs or modify equipment or suggest improvements to procedures
Ensuring that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate as required
Undertaking and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the metallic structures/SFT components which may include, as appropriate: component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test
Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately
Maintaining personal task authorisation for working on an aircraft or components
Progress reporting against delivery targets to the supervisor/ controller
Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities
Undertaking support tasks within the metallic structures/SFT bay facility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE ( oversight checks, control of tooling/test equipment)
Undertaking fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for found faults during maintenance
