GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Cisco staff shall meet the following minimum requirements:
- Seven years of Cisco experience managing medium to large data centers and multi-site environments
- Experience with Nexus switches in medium or large size data centers
- Experience with Cisco ASA Security, site-to-site VPN (IPSEC), and Cisco DNA Center
- Experience configuring/modifying Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, )
- Experience interconnecting with networking technologies including HP blade enclosures, VMware/vSphere, F5 application delivery
- Experience with Meraki wireless network including implementation, configuration, and
- Experience with F5 (LTM, ASM, GTM)
- Experience with Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds and PRTG
- Experience with VeloCloud SD-WAN technology
- Advanced knowledge of layer 2/3 concepts and designs
- CCNA required, CCNP
- Ability to easily communicate with all levels of personnel and
- Ability to self-direct, prioritize work assignments,
- Ability to create/update network
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Cisco Resource shall act as additional staff members on the Metra IT Network Services team, specifically to support customer requests in the category of network infrastructure This may include any of the following:
- Assisting with configuration and installation of ASAs, switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers and SD-WAN
- Assist in configuration and troubleshoot data center networking technologies including HP blade enclosures and vSphere
- Assist with the ongoing segregation into Metra s multiple VRF networks
- Configuration and maintenance of redundant networks across multiple data centers
- Configuration and maintenance of network equipment to maintain PCI compliancy
- Assist and backup senior engineers in configuring and monitoring F5 application delivery controllers and application layer firewall
- Monitoring health of network
- Configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and mitigating network issues utilizing networking tools
- Assistance in proactively remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities
- Upgrading infrastructure equipment as needed
- Travel to remote Metra site to install and troubleshoot network equipment as needed
