Junior Software Developer

This is a remote position.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with other team members to help influence, own and improve our product offering
  

• Drive quality by writing unit tests, functional tests, and performance tests
  

• Solve solutions to some of the most complex problems while building innovative solutions
  

Requirements

Location

This position is a remote role, but the applicant must be located in the province of Quebec, Canada or the surrounding area.

Required

• Experience building web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, Next.js)
  

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Go Lang, PHP, or equivalent
  

• Experience working with, designing, and integrating RESTful APIs
  

• Knowledge of SQL and common relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  

• Excellent communication skills
  

• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
  

• Unit/integration testing experience
  

Desired

• Experience building large-scale software applications is a plus
  

• Experience with Hashicorp Terraform
  

• Experience with Ansible
  

• Experience contributing to and working with Open Source Software
  

• Experience with telephony toolkits such as:
  

• OpenSIPS/Kamailio
  

• Asterisk/FreeSwitch
  

• Experience with containers including
  

• Docker
  

• LXC/LXD
  

• Kubernetes
