Job Description

At Alteos, we believe that insurance makes the world a better place. Because if people feel safe, they invest more into the future - a better future. So we offer protection for things that people love. With a wide range of innovative, customized and affordable insurance solutions - from ebike insurance to rent deposit guarantees - Alteos is now a market leader in Embedded Insurance, one of the industry s hottest topics.

Our success is driven by many elements, but here are some of the main ones:

  • Customized products in record speed with our proprietary, ultra-modern IT platform
  • Market-leading value for money
  • Amazing service with a clear commitment to excellence
  • Strategic focus and consistency
  • Our highly motivated and talented team
  • A culture of trust and empowerment
  • AXA, our strategic investor, creates real value by offering us an unfair advantage

In order to support our continued growth and success, we are looking for a Chief of Staff for the CEO Office (f/m/d)

Tasks

In this position, you can expect to be...

  • Working closely with our CEO on strategic projects as well as day-to-day tasks with regards to strategy implementation and relationship management with our stakeholders
  • Managing the CEO communication, including presentations, correspondence etc.(this may, at times, include setting up meetings and coordinating between internal and external participants)
  • Preparing and following up on staff meetings, conferences, partner and customer visits, project reviews etc.
  • Preparing and presenting research and analysis results to support strategy development and implementation
  • Developing, implementing and enforcing processes, guidelines and playbooks to continuously improve our cross-functional work and the company s overall performance
  • Taking ownership for company-wide, cross-functional projects, e.g., our international expansion, the launch of new verticals etc.

Requirements

And what should you bring to the table? Ideally, yourself. Nothing more, nothing less.Because for us, it is not so much about where you have been, but where you are going.

We are not entirely indifferent to your previous career and we do value and care about your past education and experience. But more importantly, it matters to us what we do to achieve our goals - yours and those of Alteos - together. We all come from very different backgrounds, with different life stories and career paths. Therefore we focus on the attitude you have, the right mindset and personality.

In order to feel comfortable and confident and to be able to do a great job, you should probably possess some of the following qualities and skills:

  • An enthusiastic and entrepreneurial mindset, assuming responsibilities on your own and not minding ambiguity or short-term change of plans
  • Being a thought leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for logical reasoning and solving difficult problems
  • A certain love for project management work, including following up on tasks and deadlines with people; thus, your communication style should be characterized by:
  • Empathy, candor, courage and outspokenness
  • The ability to tell great stories and to communicate effectively and efficiently, both verbally and with compelling slide decks or via other written forms
  • A proven track record of being inclusive and fostering diversity
  • Being comfortable to write, read and speak in English and in German language

Benefits

What do we offer?

Together with our investor, AXA, we offer a combination of entrepreneurial freedom, leading technological know-how, reliability and extensive experience in the conception and management of insurance solutions that is rather unusual for the insurance industry.

When you become part of our team, you can expect to work with incredibly versatile and talented colleagues.

  • The opportunity to lead and grow an exciting team
  • The opportunity to shape the future of insurance by contributing to the strategy and success of Alteos and further advancing one of the worlds leading core insurance systems
  • Modern working in the middle of Berlin's City-West, with a wide range of perks and benefits. To name a few: subsidized lunch & one free lunch a week, discount on BVG ticket, company (e-)bike leasing, urban sports club, mental well-being app, and - if needed/wanted- Visa and relocation support as well as German classes
  • Many opportunities to connect with your colleagues outside of daily work, e.g.through team events, weekly yoga classes, team runs and more

Would you like to become a part of our team?

Then send us your CV, stating your earliest possible starting date and your salary expectations.

We are looking forward to your application!
