Requirements
- Tertiary Education
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
- +5 years experience in supply chain management
- Food industry background preferred
- Experience in export, shipping, vessel management/operation is advantageous
- Ability to establish and manage processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Solution provider and resourceful
- Efficient and effective individual
Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal client satisfaction
- Supply chain coordination, local and international procurement with group entities and third parties
- Ensure complete and on time order deliveries
- Establish and implement logistic planification
- Ensure the compliance to all statutory obligations
- Responsible for the overall profitability across the various activities including budget control and P&L monitoring
- Assist with necessary recruitment to ensure optimal and profitable service delivery
- Participate in regular personal evaluations, KPI appraisals
- Manage absenteeism, poor performance as well as any other HR related issues
- Stay within the Mozambican legislation
- Implementation of group processes
- Strict daily, weekly, and monthly inventory management
- Ensuring teams adherence to processes and stock levels always matching ERP data
- Define and implement optimal warehouse management and organisation
- Ensure cold chain is preserved and adherence to food health regulations, international best practice
- Promotion of all the products ranges
- Commercial follow up to develop sales
- Planification with the team of commercial actions and reporting on results
- Management and maintenance of the assets such as warehouse, cold rooms, racking, plant equipment, and vehicles
- Select and manage the service providers needed to ensure suitable preventative maintenance to avoid down time on any equipment
- Special care to refrigeration units to avoid break down and down time
