Job Description

Primus Workforce Ltd. provides safety- minded, experienced personnel support throughout the oil & gas, construction, and technical trades sectors to our clients long-term and short-term contingency needs. We are a growing and dynamic company to work with providing the key to your future success.

We are currently searching for Snow Cat operators for a full time in Fort McMurray area.


This position involves the safe operation of equipment to complete assigned jobs. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate grooming equipment, completing pre and post trip inspections of machinery.
  • Perform daily light maintenance (topping up fluids, cleaning interior and exterior, greasing, and fueling of machine).
  • Recognize and report unusual noises and conditions to the Maintenance team.
  • Complete daily vehicle log sheets and daily data input form.
  • Maintain high traffic areas with rebuilding and maintaining roads.
  • Perform snow removal
  • Record and report any potential hazards to Mountain Safety.
  • Be an advocate for health and safety ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Valid Driver s license A driver s abstract check will be required prior to driving equipment
  • 2 or more seasons of Snow Cat experience
  • Mechanically inclined with experience in performing light maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Ability to work in an isolated, outdoor, winter environment with variable weather conditions and terrain.
  • Self-motivated, responsible and willing to learn.
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs at any time.
