You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSupport all requested activities in the Data Center including Server reboot, server install, server deinstall, server movement, cabling, power supply issues, ILO setup, console connections and other general Data Center activities
Monitor the Service Now queue and work incidents/tasks/requests according to SOPs
Provide escorting/oversight for Vendors working in the Data Center
Provide equipment, appliance and Data Center information to various support teams as needed
Periodic Walkthroughs to identify hardware issues found in the data center
Maintain Data Center inventory list of both racks and equipment
Coordinate Data Center shipping and receiving in data centers that do not have a separate team performing that function
Attend meetings as required for projects or other needed activities
Assist with projects as needed
Support via an on-call basis for after-hours and weekends as needed for P1/MI incidents and scheduled project work
Support multiple data centers and/or cages as needed
Provide other Hands and Feet Data Center support as required
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Data Center hardware installation, functionality, support and maintenance
Knowledge of software needed to perform support functions including MS Office, Service Now, Communications tools such as Skype and Device 42
General knowledge of Data Center processes and procedures
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (needed for server install/deinstall)
Knowledge of ITIL best practices and procedures
Excellent Customer Service skills
Superior communication skills
General problem-solving skills related to various Data Center devices and appliances
Attention to detail
Additional Duties and Skills required for Hyderabad:
Assist with desk telephone deployments and movements
Assist with EU moves related to equipment
Troubleshoot in-office EU Network issues
