Job Description:
As part of Cloud Network Engineering team, this position is responsible for designing and implementing the supporting infrastructure to facilitate DNS applications in a globally distributed environment, including traditional as well as cloud based initiatives. Lead the design and implementation of Enterprise solutions focused in the areas of DNS and IPAM technologies. Create the governing principles around DNS/IPAM Design, test, implement, and support DNS infrastructure. Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and DNS configuration. Project planning and designing scalable network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements for a reliable DNS Service (includes detailing current and future requirements, planning analysis, project design, cost, and personnel resource estimation for project implementation). Ensure DNS performance and availability meets enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning.
Responsibilities:
Experience must include:
- Four (4) years of experience in UNIX/Linux Operating System administration
- Four (4) years of experience in automation/Scripting (terraform/ansible/python)
- Four (4) years of experience with third party DNS implementations like Infoblox.
- Four (4) years of experience with public cloud DNS solutions(Route53 etc) is a plus
- Four (4) year of experience with DNS NIS Bind
- Four (4) years of experience with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)Technologies
Key Deliverables:
- Create/maintain documentation of the infrastructure and configurations (architecture diagrams, procedures, etc.) and provide training to relevant staff (within and outside the immediate team)
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed - Implementation of new hardware and software infrastructure for DNS security, publication and resolution
- Design next generation DNS infrastructure, including systems, networks, and cloud-based initiatives.
- Provide second-level support to resolve customer and organization
