Position:Shipping/Assembly

Duration: 4+months(May get extended)

Pay rate: $17.50/hr on w2

Location: Berwick, PA, 18603

Summary:

• Candidates must assemble, package, and label materials according to company or customer drawings and specifications to ship to their desired location.
• This role will report directly to Shipping & Inventory Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble components by utilizing hand and power tools.
• Inspects components and completes assemblies for conformity. Follows all component handling procedures.
• Exhibit safe work habits adhering to all PPE and OSHA requirements for assigned areas.
• Must report to work at scheduled time every day
• Be in your work area and prepared to begin work at the start of your shift
• Must maintain housekeeping in your work in your area and throughout the building.
• Must be able to package products to ensure it will arrive to customers in acceptable condition.
• Be sure all tools and equipment are returned at the end of your shift to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

• Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse components are helpful but not required.
• High School graduate, or general education degree required
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, and follow work instructions.
• Ability to assemble product in accordance with customer or company drawings and specifications.
• Communication skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have ability to utilize the Manufacturing System to scan time cards and labor tickets and research availability of materials needed.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Mechanically inclined and have the ability to use hand and power tools to assemble product
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a clean work environment
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Ability to become forklift certified

• Employees are regularly required to talk and hear.
• Employees are regularly required to stand, lift, stoop, and walk for 5 hours at a time, without breaks.
• Employees are regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Employees must have the ability to work with their hands to lift and assemble products.
• Employees are regularly required to walk for up to 8 hours a day.
• Employees are required to wear safety shoes and safety glasses at all times. Must have the ability to wear hearing protection when in production areas that require it.
• Employees are required to be on site during scheduled shifts to perform daily duties and responsibilities.
• Requires daily face-to-face interaction with co-workers on the production floor.
