Abbotsford, British Columbia V2T 5Y5 Title of position: Diesel Mechanic No. of positions: 2 Wages: $34.00/hr for 40 hours per week Job Type: Full-Time Permanent, year-round work Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible Job Description for the position of Diesel Mechanic at Diablo Diesel Performance Ltd. is as: Inspect heavy diesel trucks that are used for short haul and long-haul trucking services. Ensure proper performance of the trucks by implementing preventative & operational maintenance activities. Perform repair work on heavy trucks and restore them to working order through component replacement and/or repair. Test repaired trucks for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean and grease chassis and universal joints, wheel bearings, etc. as well as perform other routine maintenance work on equipment. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair required. Performs all work in a clean and safe manner in accordance with companys safety procedures. Perform other related duties as required. Skills and Experience requirement: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required. A relevant education - diploma/certification, would be an asset. Basic knowledge of English language is required. Heavy lifting may be required; is physically demanding.
