Vancouver Glass located in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an experienced Glazier. Its a permanent full-time (40 hours per weekday) position with a wage of $28.00/hour depending on experience, and a 4% paid vacation. Overtimes are paid at 1,5 rate for hours exceeding 8 hours/day, or 40 hours/week. We offer an extended health benefits plan mostly paid by the company.

Primary responsibilities and duties as a Glazier:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required according to specifications;
- Measure and mark outlines or patterns on glass to indicate cutting lines and cut glass;
- Fabricate metal frames for glass installation;
- Grind or polish glass, smooth edges when necessary;
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.;
- Assemble, fit and install glass on exterior walls of buildings and other structures;
- Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolds, rigging and hoisting equipment;
- Position glass panes into frames and secure glass;
- Drive to installation sites and unload glass equipment and tools;
- Replace or repair damaged glass or faulty sealant;
- Work at heights on scaffolding; and
- Follow established safety rules and instructions, including construction fall protection.
Requirements:
Must be comfortable and capable of working at heights in various weather conditions in order to perform site inspections;
Must have at least 2-years of experience as a Glazier;
Must have a valid driving license;
Must be able to work under minimum supervision;
Must be able to work while suspended in a harness for extended periods of time;
Must have attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination;
Must be able to speak in English;
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
Excellent problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing.
