You will be updated with latest job alerts via email- Job Description- Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.Minimum Qualifications: o Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)o American Heart Association BLSo Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required within 6 months of hire; (NRP recertification required every 2 years)o Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN approved course) required within 6 months of hire (Not required if a Lactation RN) (FHM recertification required every 2 years)o American Heart Association ACLS required within 1 year of hire (Not required if a Lactation RN)o Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursingo Two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hireo If Lactation RN: Certification in lactation consulting/counseling (CLC, IBCLC)o Preferred: One year labor and delivery experienceEssential Job Functions:o Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation (Assessment)o Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)o Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation o Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)o Implements the identified plan of careo Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environmento Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practiceo Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practiceo Evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulationso Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagueso Collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practiceo Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practiceo Integrates research findings into practice o Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the professionKnowledge, Skills and Abilitieso Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all timeso Ability to work in a busy and stressful environmento Creativity, problem analysis and decision making o Ability to work varied shifts
