Job Title: Associate Consumer Goods Buyer

Location of role: Western Suburbs, Lombard IL onsite 3 days a week, Hybrid

Salary or Hourly range: $60K to $70K Depending on experience DOE

Key Points:

2+ years of buyer/merchandising experience in the consumer goods space.

Must understand the buying process, have experience analyzing market trends and monitoring sales, and be able to establish relationships with vendors and internal team members.

Solid organizational, communication, and collaboration skills required.

Position Summary The Associate Buyer is responsible for assisting the Buyer in all related daily Merchandising functions and in the delivery of department strategies to maximize sales and margin to achieve yearly sales and profitability objectives.

The Associate Buyer works closely with the vendor community working as a liaison between Buyer and vendor and focus on quickly reacting to business trends and adjusting accordingly to improve overall sales and gross margin performance. Responsibilities

Support and assist the Buyer, Monitor weekly sales performance of line-up; suggesting reorders and markdowns, Perform administrative functions including timely receipt of product spec sheets for new product, preparing, and updating cost sheets establishing costs and retail pricing, SKU creation and purchase order management.
