Warehouse Assistant

Duties: "Works under supervision of Manager-Collector's Corner,Schedules pickup and delivery of merchandise to customers and donors. Able to follow instructed movement of furniture for showroom display. Accurately identifies and tags merchandise for inventory purposes. Responsible for accurate paperwork for donor documentation. Maintains cleanliness of warehouse and storage facilities. Assists customers in carryout/loading of heavy/bulky items. Essential Responsibilities
1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.3. Performs duties requested in store operations and showroom set up.
4. Accurately identifies and prepares daily listing of incoming merchandise for appraisal.
5. Schedules timely pickup and deliveries of donated merchandise.
6. Loads and unloads merchandise in designated storage or showroom placement always using safety precautions at all times. Attends all safety classes yearly to meet requirements.
7. Schedules and coordinates routing and utilizes free time between pickup and deliveries to help where needed.
8. Demonstrates teamwork by assisting other drivers or performing regular facility and vehicle maintenance procedures.
9. Demonstrates ability to complete a day's workload within scheduled shift and takes on additional responsibility for instructing other personnel in proper lifting and maintenance procedures.
10. Maintains harmonious relationship with customers, donors, volunteers and staff.12. Responsible for cleanliness and orderly manner for warehouse and work-related equipment.14. Performs other duties as assigned. "
