Our client company is seeking an experienced manager to be responsible for the direction of the Mine Planning/Services Group and provide the leadership and strategic initiatives and implementation of the goals, policies, and priorities of the team.
You must be willing to:
Develop/implements the annual & long range plans for mining/tailing disposal/reclamation
Supervise the development of detailed dragline sequences/phosphatic clay/tailings disposal plans/drainage/water control projects
Oversee/develop federal/state/county permit applications
Support the administration of leases/deeds
Develop reports to land owners
Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS Mining/Civil Engineering (PE required)
10+ years experience in Mine Operations/Engineering/Leadership of surface or above ground mines
Proficiency with commercial mine planning software (SurvCadd/Vulcan/AutoCad)
Extensive knowledge of regulatory laws/policies related to the mining/reclamation of a phosphate deposit
Ability to monitor the status of permit obligations/compliance
