Job Description

We are actively seeking a Lead Gameplay Programmer for a studio widely recognized as a successful developer of open-world action role-playing games They have previously enjoyed massive success releasing anime-oriented mobile games.They are now embarking on a massive, multi-year, multiplatform open world, driving/racing game being developed with the Unreal engine.


As a seasoned veteran game developer you will lead, manage and develop a team of Gameplay and AI Programmers focused on creating realistic character interactions, crowd simulations, dynamiccombatsystems and other relevant NPC AI and gameplay features.



Your responsibilities will include -

  • Working with production, the design team, art leads and other engineers to create estimates and plans for work required.
  • Creating estimates for 3Cs and AI mechanics.
  • Delivering high quality AI, NPC and relevant gameplay systems based upon the requirements as discussed with other teams.
  • Ensuring the delivery of solutions by your team meets the game design and technical requirements as agreed upon with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Optimizing code and data for memory usage and performance as required.
  • Writing technical documentation as required.
  • Assisting and partake in code reviews.


Your professional qualifications include -

  • 8+ years experience developing AAA titles.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Lead Gameplay Programmer on AAA titles.
  • Expertise in character AI systems (including crowd and NPC combat gameplay) and ideally experience with Animation and 3Cs in AAA games.
  • Excellent command of the C++ programming language.
  • Extensive experience working with large multiplatform engines.
  • Experience with profiling tools and optimization techniques.
  • Strong programming skills and a proven ability to work with all departments to carry out the vision of the game.
