Oracle DBA - remote

Job Description

We are looking for a Oracle Database Administrator with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade databases. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for providing database expertise in the full development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

• Support software development teams with perfect SQL schema design and optimized SQL queries implementation

• Ensure maintenance tasks in all phases of the software lifecycle

• Proactively work on legacy schema cleaning and refactoring

• Guarantee safety and integrity of data

• Provide backup and disaster recovery strategies

• Persistently seek innovative ways to improve DBA work efficiency and quality
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
• Work to ensure high resilience and performance excellence
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure services with minimum downtime
• Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes
• Support software development team in designing new features
• Responsible for writing standards and spreading good practices in development teams
• Database modeling and schema design
• Data integrity policies
• Operational support of production databases: maintenance / disaster recovery / database refresh / migrations / engine updates

Job Requirements

• In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience with hands-on experience on Oracle management tools
• Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects
• Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service
• Experience of Transactional SQL, and stored procedures
• Practical experience in managing the internal and external database security
• Hands-on Knowledge of Postgresql would be a +
• Experience on nosql database would be a + (Couchbase, MongoDB,…)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
• Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability

• Leadership, eager to learn, passionate, dynamic, open-minded, strong team spirit, creative, demanding, precise and concise, autonomous, analytical

• English required, French would be appreciated
