Assigned Slip Seat Driver

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Assigned Slip Seat Driver to join our team. This role involves making deliveries and pickups on a set schedule with assigned slip seat trucks equipped with short sleepers. Drivers will operate primarily within Statesville NC Charlotte NC and surrounding areas. This position offers competitive mileagebased pay regular home time and additional earnings through accessorial pay for stops and deliveries.

Work Schedule: The position offers 1st and 2nd shift options with a set schedule ensuring drivers can plan their work and home time effectively. Home time is daily providing a good worklife balance. Drivers can expect to work 1012 hours per shift running approximately 1800 to 2000 miles per week with top earners running up to 2600 miles per week.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Mileage Pay: $0.51 per mile for 1st shift; $0.56 per mile for 2nd shift
• Pay Increases:
  • 1st shift: $0.01 annual increase top pay $0.54 per mile
  • 2nd shift: $0.01 annual increase top pay $0.59 per mile
• Accessorial Pay: $10.00 per stop $10 per store drop $10 per vendor load delivered (excluding returns)
• Holiday Pay: $150 per day
• Vacation Pay: Average pay over the previous 52 weeks

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform drop and hook at each store ensuring timely and efficient deliveries
• Make store deliveries then pick up a store load vendor load or return to the DC in Statesville with an empty load
• Complete this cycle 1 to 3 times per shift
• Learn the account to achieve an ideal shift of 400 miles
• Operate within designated areas including Statesville to Anderson SC Charlotte Greensboro the I40 Corridor (Asheville NC to Sylva) Augusta GA and some parts of WV and KY

Requirements:

• Mandatory participation in slip seat arrangements (pairing based on smoking preference)
• Ability to work 1012 hours per shift
• Physical capability to handle the demands of the job
• Commitment to safety and efficiency in all deliveries and pickups

Additional Information: Drivers will park their trucks in Statesville NC or Charlotte NC. The job does not require driver unloading. Average weekly pay ranges from $900 to $1000 with top earners making $1200 or more. Drivers typically have 1015 stops per week. Top drivers average a total pay equivalent to $24.00 per hour.
