CAD Design Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify CAD models and technical drawings based on project requirements
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design specifications and constraints
• Conduct design reviews and make necessary adjustments based on feedback
• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and safety regulations
• Provide support for prototype development and testing
• Participate in design validation activities and identify areas for improvement
• Contribute to design documentation and technical reports
• Resolve designrelated issues and communicate with stakeholders as needed
• Stay updated on CAD software advancements and best practices
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for design processes and workflows
• Participate in crossfunctional meetings and provide technical expertise
• Collaborate with project management teams to meet design milestones and project deadlines
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance and control measures throughout the design process

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or related field
• Proven experience in CAD design and drafting
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or CATIA
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and GD&T principles
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering specifications and standards
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience in design validation and testing
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
• Ability to work in crossfunctional teams and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
