Paralegal- Civil Litigation

Excellent Area Law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Paralegal to join its Civil Litigation Department. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with various projects and play a crucial role in the management and success of our cases. Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting attorneys with summarizing various types of records and discovery.
• Preparing deposition pageline summaries and client reports.
• Assisting with Zoom arbitration and trials in state and federal court.
• Managing case files and ensuring proper organization.
• Drafting pleadings discovery and summaries.
• Calendaring and ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Preparing and filing documents with courts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 5 years of paralegal experience.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent grammar and editing skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; communicates clearly and effectively with a variety of individuals.
• Knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure state court rules and procedures.
• Proficient with calendaring and efiling.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Outlook and NetDocs is a plus.
• Experience with drafting and preparing pleadings and discovery.
