2 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience required JOB SUMMARYMaternalChild Health (MCH) Nurses under general supervision deliver care to pregnant and laboring women newborns children and families across the continuum of care and across the womans lifespan utilizing the nursing process of assessment planning intervention implementation and evaluation in accordance with AWHOHNN Standards For Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns7th Edition (2009). Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and their significant others while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.
