Seeking a Systems Engineer to support government projects in Herndon VA. This position requires a mix of technical expertise and policy knowledge with a focus on implementing standards like ICD 503 NIST Risk Management Framework and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in information system security engineering security control assessment and the ability to manage security across multiple cloud service platforms.
Work Requirements:
Direct support for US Government priorities in cloud security and compliance.
Manage security assessments compliance change management and continuous monitoring for major cloud service providers (AWS Google Cloud Oracle Cloud Azure IBM Cloud).
Assess cloud security technologies for gaps and weaknesses.
Analyze security scan findings and perform risk analysis.
Review cloud security evidence packages for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate on cloud infrastructure security assessments.
Advise on cloud security services and document risk mitigation procedures.
Facilitate technical exchange meetings (TEMs) with cloud service providers.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience facilitating TEMs and maintaining A&A packages as per industry standards.
Expertise in cloud technology design and implementation across major platforms.
Proficiency in continuous monitoring and scan analysis using tools like Rapid 7 Nessus Qualys.
Knowledge of compliance tools (Xacta 360 Risk Vision RSA Archer) and NIST RMF.
Experience in information system security engineering and security control assessments.
Highly Desired:
Experience with Sponsor or IC element A&A processes.
Experience in cloud security A&A documentation.
Skills in identifying and implementing security controls.
Experience working in Xacta 360.
