Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Litigator to join our reputable law firm as a senior associate or salaried director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law litigation experience and a proven track record of successfully representing clients in complex tax disputes.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in tax disputes before administrative agencies courts and other tribunals.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to tax issues and litigation strategies.
Draft legal pleadings motions briefs and other documents necessary for tax litigation proceedings.
Prepare clients for hearings depositions and other litigationrelated events.
Collaborate with internal teams including tax advisors and other attorneys to develop comprehensive strategies for resolving tax controversies.
Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients cases.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and legal staff as and when requiered.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing tax law with a focus on litigation.
Strong understanding of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience in alternative dispute resolution.
Prior experience managing and mentoring junior attorneys is preferred but not required.eviewing your application.
