Job Title: Controller

Location of role: Schaumburg, IL 60194 On-site every day in the office

Salary 120K to 130K DOE Depending on experience

Direct hire Role - Fulltime

Key Points of the role:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.

A professional financial designation such as CA, CPA, CMA or CGA is preferred.

Ideally a minimum of five years' experience as a controller in a manufacturing, financial and cost accounting environment, responsible for all accounting and financial reporting activities.

Must have experience working with projects, preferably machine build projects, understanding budgeted hours, materials, and forecasting, watching costs and controlling them, and
reporting accordingly to Corporate.

Experience with ERP/PC-based accounting systems and software tools are required and strong analytical, financial, and accounting skills to contribute to management decisions.

Person must be hands-on and must be able to meet deadlines for his or her responsibilities either directly or indirectly.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assuring the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance.

The Controller plans, organizes, directs, and controls, through subordinates, the financial reporting, accounting, and general financial affairs.

Maintenance of the accounting records in a timely, accurate and complete manner.

Ensure the safeguarding of company assets.

Supervision of the accounting staff currently consists of an accounts payable specialist and a staff accountant.

Functions as SME with respect to all accounting, accounting and financial processes, and the accounting, receipts, and disbursement functions.

Recommends changes to company processes, costing and pricing methodologies.

Approves new customer and new vendor setups.

Reviews all contractual arrangements with customers.

Cash flow reporting and forecasting

Liaison with professional advisors on annual audit and accounting matters as required.

Support external audit, performs litigation support, prepare annual business plan submission, budgets, and monthly forecasts. Identify areas of risk within business plans.
